Ian Kelly
Long ago Ian was a real developer. He wrote code. Lots of it. Some even worked properly. He coded in everything from VB and Perl to Java and Haskell. Rumor has it that he even did some Prolog. (raise your hand if you can write a program shorter than “A.”) Along the way he messed around with build scripts, cross-compiled PL/SQL, realtime class manipulation and (once, and only once) the OSGI framework for some very oddball reasons. Nowadays, Ian is more of a talker than a doer… but he promises to try and avoid speaking like a PHB.

His work has been profiled in Nature, the New York Times, The Economist, BBC, Discovery Channel and the presses of more than 100 nations. In December 2013 he was named as one of Foreign Policy Magazine’s Top 100 Global Thinkers of 2013. His work focuses on how innovative applications of the world’slargest datasets, computing platforms, algorithms, and mindsets can reimagine the way we understand and interact with our global world. Jade Chu is the Technical Director for Infrastructure Development at AOL, Jade leads the software engineering organization responsible for the company’s operations infrastructure automation including Cloud, CMDB, continuous delivery and devops services, data center automation, host and network configuration management, and metrics/alarming/paging. Jade has been with AOL 9+ years and holds a Computer Science degree from the University of Maryland, College Park. Go Terps!

Peter Burkholder
Chef
Peter Burkholder is a Customer Success Engineer with Chef, Inc., where he works with enterprise Chef customers to ensure a successful automation strategy and implementation, and advocates for adoption of DevOps culture. Prior to Chef, Peter led operations work for DC-area start-ups, non-profits, and the federal government, where he was an early champion for automation and configuration management. Peter is formally trained as a geophysicist, and earned his Unix chops running field computing systems in Siberia and Antarctica. His home office in suburban Maryland is much cozier, if less exciting

Jeffrey Posnick
Jeffrey Posnick is a member of Google’s Open Web Platform Developer Relations team, focusing on emerging web standards and Polymer.

Rajeev Dayal
Rajeev Dayal is a Google Software engineer and works on Cloud SDK, Android tooling – Android Studio/App Engine.

Todd Reedy
Todd Reedy is a sales engineer on Google for Work Verticals team focusing on Cloud Platform. Despite what Eric, Larry and Sergey believe, Todd is THE Maine Googler. Yes, he’s the only Googler based in the great state of Maine. His mission is to create excitement about the Google Cloud Platform in the Government and Higher Education communities. Todd has a passion for developing tools and applications that make others more productive. Away from work, Todd is a cycling, traveling, and BEvERage enthusiast and enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.

Erik Isaksen

Erik Isaksen is a Front End Engineer – User Experience Professional in Reston, VA. As UX Engineer at 3Pillar, Erik has done various client prototypes built with web technologies including Polymer, Angular, Ruby, & Node.js and many others . Erik is the organizer, maintainer and co-host of @TheWebPlatform Podcast, a weekly free developer discussion about web technologies and the people who build with them. Erik pair programs as much as he can and is a strong advocate of open source. Open source developer and startup enthusiast, @anvilhacks, enlisted Erik’s help to co-organize and run readthesource.io, a live video Google Hangout discussion that goes through open source code projects with the people who build, contribute to, or use them to expose and promote greater knowledge sharing with the developer community at large

Danny Blue

Danny Blue Front end developer responsible for taking designs and turning them into a functional product or prototype. Architect JavaScript applications using core JavaScript as well as front end frameworks such as Ember Js and Angular Js. Experiments with new front end technologies such as Web Components (mostly with Polymer) and Web workers (multithreaded JavaScript wooo!)

Mark Helmstetter

Mark Helmstetter is a Senior Solutions Architect for MongoDB. He focuses primarily on supporting MongoDB users within the US federal government. Before joining MongoDB, Mark was a Senior Principal Consultant at MarkLogic where he supported large-scale deployments providing sales support, training, design, development, performance tuning, and operations support for Federal customers. Mark has spent most of his career designing and developing database driven applications in both the public and private sectors

Maureen Jules-Perez

Maureen Jules-Perez – is a Senior Technical Director at AOL, Inc., leading the Enterprise Services global IT department in US, Canada, Europe, Israel, and India. Her strategic role provides secure and effective IT solutions (including Audio/Video & Conferencing, Service Delivery, Asset Management & Mobility, Collaboration Tools, and Enterprise Infrastructure & Engineering), powering AOL employees’ productivity and collaboration. Before joining AOL, Maureen was a Junior Electrical Engineer at a power company and an entrepreneur. She holds a B.S.E.E. from the University of North Florida, M.S.I.S and CIO Certification from George Washington University.
Maureen married her soulmate and is the proud mom of her 4-year old son. She is also a world traveler, community volunteer, movie fanatic, wanna-be fencer, and an amateur photographer.

Antonio Zugaldia is the CTO and Co-Founder of Silica Labs, a Washington, DC based startup that builds and powers software for wearable devices. Their latest and greatest is Landmark Directions, an app that reimagines walking directions in a more visual way.

Todd Moore, founder and CEO of TMSOFT, is best known for creating the White Noise app that helps millions of people sleep better at night. It’s been featured on Google Play, iTunes, Dr. Oz show, Today Show, and even Jimmy Fallon made fun of it. Todd authored the book Tap, Move, Shake (foreword by Steve Wozniak) that teaches you how to take your idea to the App Store. He also hosts Tech 411 which is a weekly podcast show about tech news, mobile development, and apps.
